Fool-Proof Rice

Simply add a measured amount of rice (brown, white, long-grain, wild, or other varieties) to the inner pot and pour in the proper amount of water. With the tempered glass lid in place, press the "on" switch. The rice cooker takes over from there--no more standing over a hot stove or need for continuous checking.

Once the rice has fully cooked, the unit automatically switches over to keep-warm mode (140 to 175 degrees F), which maintains an ideal serving temperature without drying-out or over-cooking the rice. The rice cooker's inner pot features a nonstick coating, which means rice won't stick to the sides or bottom, making it possible to gracefully transfer the cooked rice to a serving dish or dinner plate.

For added convenience, the rice cooker makes it easy to reheat cold rice. Just add 1/4 cup of cold water per cup of cooked rice, stir to mix, and then press the "on" switch to start cooking. Once the rice has heated, the rice cooker will automatically switch to the keep-warm function.

Saute/Browning Function

In addition to cooking healthy, delicious rice to restaurant-quality perfection, the versatile cooker--with the simple press of a button--allows for sauteing onions, garlic, and vegetables or browning meats and other ingredients prior to cooking. The saute function is optional and not required for cooking rice or other meals, but it offers greater versatility when preparing favorite recipes--no need to dirty a second pan.
